Description

Side to side, front to back, and round. Three moves, one block, and the part never leaves the clamp.

An XY stage lines a hole up with the bit. A rotary table turns the work to an angle. This stage does both: two micrometer-driven slides for X and Y, with a 60 mm rotary table on top that turns a full 360 degrees and locks where you set it. Put a small vise on the round table and you can drill a bolt circle, index holes at 15 degrees, or nudge a mark into line under the bit by a hundredth of a millimetre, all without unclamping.

The numbers

  • 60 x 60 mm base, 60 mm round rotary table on top, 51 mm tall overall, per the maker's drawing.
  • X and Y travel: 6.5 mm each way, read on micrometer heads in 0.01 mm steps.
  • Rotation: 360 degrees, with a graduated scale around the table and a lock screw.
  • Tapped holes in the rotary table: one M5 in the centre, plus rings of M4 and M3, each 6 mm deep. That is where a small vise, a clamp plate or a fixture bolts on.
  • Load: 3 kgf. Aluminium body, black finish, steel ball guides.

Where it fits in

This is the fine-positioning layer of a small bench setup: machine on the base, this stage on the table, the vise on top. It is built for positioning, so it pairs with drilling, marking and inspection, the jobs where the part has to be exactly where you meant it.

Will it plug into my outlet? The power supply runs on 100 to 240 V, so it works on American, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand mains without a converter. If the plug that arrives doesn't fit your outlet, tell us and we post you the right adapter free, or refund you in full.

Can it mill? It is built for drilling. Milling puts side load on the bit, and that needs an ER11 collet spindle in place of the chuck.

Can I bolt a vise or an XY stage to it? On the $129 press, add the 120 x 150 mm base plate: it replaces the original base and has tapped holes for fixing. The $149 collet press already has slots in its base. Clamp-on bench vises are for the bench, not for use under the drill.

Do I pay tax or duty? In the United States, sales tax is added at checkout where your state charges it, and the total you see is what you pay. For Australia and New Zealand nothing is added at checkout. If a carrier ever asks you for a fee on one of our parcels, don't pay it: email us first and we sort it out.

What if a part breaks? For twelve months, tell us which part and we post a new one free. No return needed.
