Description

Ten bits of the size you actually keep breaking.

Every assortment set has the same problem: you snap two 0.8 mm bits on a Saturday and the box still has nine sizes you will never touch. So we sell them the other way round — one size, ten bits, and you buy the size you use.

• Tungsten carbide, 3.175 mm (1/8 inch) shank. Fits the drill press collet and every rotary tool.
• 38 mm long, 10 mm flute. Standard PCB bit geometry.
• Coloured collar per size so you can grab the right one without a caliper. The colour is whatever the factory used that week - it marks the size, it does not mean anything else.

Which size do you want

0.3 and 0.4 mm - watch screws, the finest vias. These snap if you breathe on them. Run slow.

0.5 to 0.8 mm - the working range for circuit boards. If you are buying one pack, buy 0.8.

1.0 and 1.2 mm - component legs, terminal pins, small brass.

Also available as a mixed 0.5-1.4 mm set if you genuinely do not know yet.

They break. That is the job.

Carbide is hard and brittle. A 0.5 mm bit breaks from speed and from sideways load, not from pressure - so run it slow, let it clear, and do not lever the part. Ten in a pack is not us being generous, it is how many you will get through.

If they arrive broken, that is on us

Carbide micro bits sometimes lose a tip in the post - the tube is small and the parcel is not handled gently. Open the pack and count them. If any arrived snapped, tell us the size and we send a replacement pack. Nothing to return and no photograph of a shipping label required.

6 to 10 business days. These ship from a stocked warehouse, not from the workshop, so they are faster than the machine. We state the real number per item rather than one flattering number for the whole shop.
