The power supply that comes with the drill press is marked \u003cstrong\u003e100 to 240 V, 50\/60 Hz\u003c\/strong\u003e, which covers Australian mains at 230 V, 50 Hz. The supply does the converting; the adapter only gets the pins into the wall. Read the label on your own supply before you plug anything in - if it says 120 V only, an adapter is the wrong answer and a transformer is the right one.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eWhat it fits\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eSocket end takes the US flat two-pin and the European round two-pin. Pin end is the Australian and New Zealand three-pin, Type I, with an earth pin. Rated 250 V. It is 3 cm across, which is small enough to live in the machine's box and not get lost.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eWhich quantity\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne is enough for one machine. Two is for the bench that ends up with a drill press on one side and a bench supply on the other, which is most benches after a few months.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHonest limits\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a passive pin adapter, the kind sold everywhere for travel. It is not a surge protector and it is not a voltage converter, and we would rather say so twice than have you find out once.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe have not had one on our own bench yet.
